Henderson Police Investigate Shooting Incident

Henderson, Nev. – (October 11, 2024) On October 10th, 2024, at approximately 10:04am., the Henderson Police and Fire Departments responded to the 200 block of West Warm Springs Road in reference to a reported shooting.

Preliminarily, detectives determined a 25-year-old male was in an argument with a 29-year-old employee where he was sprayed with pepper spray and asked to leave the property. The argument continued and the employee discharged multiple rounds from his firearm and struck the 25-year-old male.

Officers and paramedics attempted lifesaving measures; however, the male succumbed to his injuries at the scene. 

There were no other injuries reported other than to the decedent.   

The male who initially discharged his firearm remained on scene and is cooperative with the investigation.   

Detectives are investigating this as a homicide.  

As this is an open and ongoing investigation, no further details will be provided at this time.

The identity of the victim, as well as the cause and manner of death, will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office after next of kin notifications.

This is being investigated as the seventh homicide for the City of Henderson for 2024.
