Melissa Bender was named City of Henderson Municipal Court Administrator in October 2021. She oversees the daily operations of the Municipal Court and is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all non-judicial functions.

Melissa started her career with the Municipal Court in October of 2003 as a Criminal Justice Clerk. In December of 2013 she was named Assistant Court Administrator.

Melissa earned the Certified Court Manager (CCM) and Certified Court Executive (CCE) credentials through the National Center for State Courts and holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management. 

Currently, Melissa is a member of the Nevada Association of Court Executives (NACE). In 2019 she was named the Education Committee Chair for NACE and served on the Executive Board until 2021.  She is also a member of the National Association for Court Management (NACM) where she served as a member of the committee for the CORE® competencies curricula review from 2018 – 2020.
