Civil Service Board
The Civil Service Board and Rules are established through the city’s charter and Municipal Code and address employment practices for regular employees not covered by a collective bargaining agreement. The Civil Service Board consists of five persons appointed by majority vote of the City Council who are appointed to serve staggered terms of three years.

Meetings
The Civil Service Board meets annually in January. Meetings may also be held upon call of the chairman, vice chairman, or upon call by two members. Notice of each meeting will be given in accordance with applicable open meeting laws.
