We are pleased to announce that Russell Nelson has been named the Director of IT. 

Russell joined the City of Henderson in 2013 as the Deputy Chief Information Officer. He has more than 35 years of experience across all aspects of IT management and has also served in various executive roles. 

His prior experience includes serving as Deputy Chief Information Officer for Clark County, Nevada, Chief Operating Officer and Chief Technology Officer for Global Gaming Systems, and Vice President of Software Engineering for MGM Mirage.

A native of Las Vegas and resident of Henderson for 29 years, Russell earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Management Information Systems from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
