I-11 Intermountain West Corridor
Nevada & Arizona Department of Transportation I-11
& Intermountain West Corridor Study
Nevada and Arizona Departments of Transportation are working together to connect Las Vegas to Phoenix as part of a larger highway (Interstate 11) that could potentially connect Canada to Mexico.Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT), in cooperation with the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA), are pleased to present the final I-11 Las Vegas Metropolitan Area Planning and Environmental Linkages (PEL) Study Report.
The final PEL report analyzes two potential routes for Interstate 11 (I-11), western (I-215 and CC 215) and central (I-515 and US 95) and identifies a recommended corridor through the Las Vegas metropolitan area, between the Henderson Interchange and the vicinity of Kyle Canyon Road (SR 157) on US 95.
The final PEL report recommends the central corridor (currently I-515 and US 95) for future I-11 interstate highway designation through the Las Vegas metropolitan area. Based on evaluation criteria and extensive assessments, the central corridor alternative was identified as the best performing corridor in the study.
